Fully Private Overnight Investigations
Private paranormal investigations include exclusive access to all open buildings across the upper 34 acres of Cresson Sanatorium & Prison, covering approximately 20 structures throughout the former sanatorium and prison complex.
Access may vary depending on active preservation work, maintenance, or site development. If any key buildings or areas will be unavailable during your investigation, we’ll let you know in advance so you know exactly what to expect.

Additional investigators may be added for $90 per person
Split Overnight Investigations
Split Overnights are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Two teams investigate on the same night without overlap.

Each team is assigned six buildings, selected to include a mix of historic sanatorium spaces and newer prison locations

Cresson Sanatorium & Prison offers overnight paranormal investigations inside one of Pennsylvania’s most unusual historic locations. Located in Cresson, PA, the property spans the original sanatorium, state hospital, and former prison complex, giving investigators access to multiple buildings, cell blocks, treatment spaces, and other areas after dark.
These overnight ghost hunts are intentionally immersive and largely self-directed. With limited lighting, deteriorated spaces, underground areas, and more than a century of layered history, Cresson offers a very different experience from a staged haunted attraction.
Overnight paranormal investigations run from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
