About Hydroponics

The basic concept of a hydroponic farm is that water is substituted for soil. Solutions are then added to the water to provide easily accessed nutrients for a healthy yield.

The nutrients added to the water may include phosphorus, nitrogen, calcium, potassium, and many more, depending on the plants being grown.

This method allows for year round growing of your favorite crop in a smaller footprint with fewer resources.

Benefits of Hydroponics

  • Hydroponics require less space than traditional farming

  • Hydroponic plants grow with up to 98 percent less water than traditional growing methods

  • Grown in their own micro-climate, weather is not a concern.

  • Hydroponic gardens can produce about 240 times the yield of traditional farming practices.

  • Needs no soil.

  • Produces higher quality, pesticide free food.

  • Reduces the demand on the supply chain.
