Visitor's attending a Self-Guided Exploration can arrive anytime after 9:00 AM. Please keep in-mind when visiting we close our doors to the public at 6:00 PM.

If you purchase the 9 Hour pass we would recommend starting at 9:00 AM.

• The Cresson Sanatorium and Prison's exploration area includes 34 acres of approximately 20 buildings to explore. A map is provided at check in that includes details such as the year built, usages, and size of each building. The tunnel is open for exploration in 2023. Please email tours@cressonsanatorium.com for any questions regarding temporary or permanant building closures.
• Passes are staggered and limited to ensure photographers are explorers are able to enjoy the experience without a crowd. Check-in is quick and easy, no need to print your tickets. At check-in we use a reservation sheet to sign in visitors, provide you with a map, share safety guidelines, and answer any questions you might have!
• Porta-potties are available on site in multiple locations. Masks are suggested, but not required. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are a must! A flashlight is suggested for the tunnel, as we leave lights off for better photography.
